SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP |

Every year, the Sports Development Authority of Tamilnadu provides Sports Scholarships to deserving sportspersons. The current financial year will be the scholarship award year.

Scholarship Details
|
|
High/Higher Secondary School: Rs. 5,000/- per student per annum
College/University: Rs. 6,500/- per student per annum
|
|
|
|
|
|
Selection
|
|
|
A Selection Committee constituted by the Government will select sportspersons for this scheme.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Eligibility
|
|
|
Sportspersons should be residents of Tamilnadu. Further, the sportspersons shall be bonafide students of Government recognized institutions.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Minimum Sports Eligibility
|
|
|
The sportsperson will need to have secured any one of the first 3 places in RDS (Republic Day Sports) /BDS (Bharathiar Day Sports) competitions conducted by Director of School Educations. State level sports achievement is the minimum eligibility.
