HIGH CASH INCENTIVES

With effect from July 2001, the Government of Tamilnadu has decided to award High Cash Incentives to outstanding sportspersons in lieu of the scheme of allotting house/flat/plot. Sportspersons who qualify for the scheme are those who have won medals at the Olympics, Asian Games, and Common Wealth Games which are conducted once in every 4 years. Other sportspersons who qualify are those who have won medals at the South Asia Federation Games and National Games which are conducted once in 2 years.

Eligibility

The sportsperson should be a resident of Tamilnadu in the last five years prior to the date of the medal-winning performance.

Incentive to Coaches

State coaches who train medal-winning sportspersons will be given fifteen percent (15%) of the cash award as incentive.
